QUAKERS - WHO ARE THEY? WHERE ARE THEY? WHAT DO THEY DO? National Quaker Week runs from Saturday 2nd until Saturday 9th October and Wells Quakers invite you to get to know them better! From 2pm on Saturday 2nd October until 4pm on Wednesday 6th there will be a retrospective exhibition of the work of the late Joy Schwabe, a talented artist and potter, and a much loved member of Wells Meeting. Joy had a great diversity of style and the exhibition brings together many pieces given to family and friends, and which can now, for the first time, be shared with the wider community. On Sunday 3rd October why not join us for Meeting for Worship, followed by a simple lunch and the opportunity to talk with Quakers, and view the exhibition. On Friday 8th October at 10.30am and again at 6.30pm you can visit the Meeting House and listen to 2 members of the Meeting share what being a Quaker means to them. An opportunity to listen, to ask questions, and to talk. The sessions will be followed by a chance to browse the book stall and enjoy light refreshments. Wells Friends Meeting House is located on Church Street, Wells-next-the-Sea, NR23 1HZ. For further information please call 01328 710643 Do come along and see what makes us tick. We may surprise you.
